This spell allows the caster to increase the area of effect of any one 1st, 2nd, 3rd level spell by 50%, or the area of effect of a 4th or 5th level spell by 25%. Fractional measurements are dropped. The spell to be affected must be cast before the end of the round immediately following the round in which the Dilation II spell was cast, or the Dilation II spell is wasted.
A caster can only use this spell to affect his own spells. It only effects spells that have areas of effect defined in linear measurements (numbers of creatures cannot be increased).
