Description
You infuse a skull with negative energy and lob it at your enemies; it screams as it streaks towards your foes.
When the skull bomb detonates, the skull flashes with violet light and explodes with a chorus of screams, releasing a blast of negative energy drawn from the Negative Material Plane. The burst of negative energy inflicts 1d4 points of negative energy damage per caster level (maximum 10d4). All living creatures within 15’ of the skull’s point of detonation must make a Reflex saving throw to suffer only half damage from the blast.
You determine the range (distance and height) at which the skull bomb is to burst. The screaming skull streaks from your hand and, unless it impacts upon a material body or solid barrier prior to attaining the prescribed range, the skull bomb detonates at that point. An early impact results in an early detonation. If you attempt to send the skull through a narrow passage through which the skull will not fit, such as through an arrow slit, the skull strikes the barrier and detonates prematurely.
